National Team
WCI employs over 50 members of staff throughout Ireland, with 7 staff members representing the national team. At a national level, the team participate in key national structures supporting women’s equality.

The national staff supports the work of the 17 Projects throughout Ireland in many ways, through the creation of policies, procedures, and processes in line with our charitable obligations. Each member of the national team is strategically placed to carry out the work as described in WCI's Strategic Plan (2022-2026). This is done through the promotion of the organisation, by developing financial and governance systems and policies, and by ensuring that the organisation fulfils all financial, employment and governance obligations and duties. The national team provide ongoing training in their areas of work to fellow staff, and sources funding for programme development to deliver WCI-targeted, needs-based community education programmes at a local level through each of the 17 projects.
In recent years, WCI has successfully sourced funding from the ESF EU Fund, the DSF Reconciliation Fund, through the Irish Human Rights and Equality Commission, and has received programme funding from the Department of Children, Equality, Disability, Integration, and Youth to participate in key national structures supporting women’s equality.
