WCI Limerick

WCI Limerick aims to promote gender equality through our work. We provide an information and support service for women, and supply information on a range of issues such as health provision, screening services, and men’s violence against women services. Additionally, we provide support for women to return to education and/or employment. We run various courses and events, including health and awareness days. We take part in celebration days such as International Women’s Day, and regularly get involved in local and national campaigns.

We take part in public consultations relating to women’s issues and broader issues using a gendered lens. We were instrumental in the establishment of the Limerick Women’s Caucus, the first of its kind at a local level in the country.

Meet the Team

Yvie Murphy
Coordinator

Yvie works as a Coordinator for the WCI Limerick project and is responsible for the effective day-to-day running, management, and development of the Project.

Yvie is also responsible for coordinating, facilitating, and supporting the work of WCI Limerick.

Katla Thorhildardottir
Development Worker

Katla works as the Development Worker in WCI Limerick, working with Yvie to develop programmes and courses for women in the local area.

Katla also holds the responsibility of networking with women in the local area, facilitating and supporting women's engagement with the Project.

Mary Bradshaw
Project Worker

Mary operates as the Project Worker with WCI Limerick, ensuring the day-to-day administration of the WCI Limerick office, including the responsibility of preparing and administering finances.

Mary also engages with grassroots women in the local area, offering support.
