Statement on AI Powered Tools used for Online Abuse

Women's Collective Ireland condemns the use of Artificial Intelligence (AI) tools to create and spread images and messages of misogyny and hatred on social media site X.  As a feminist grassroot women's organisation we call for a total ban on AI powered tools that generate and spread hatred, discrimination and abuse.  We stand in solidarity with all victims of online abuse and encourage those impacted to report to An Garda Síochána or the Irish national reporting centre: http//www.hotline.ie
