Women’s Collective Ireland are recruiting for the following position: WCI Claremorris Development Worker (part-time, 12 hours per week) based at Curam, Claremorris, Co. Mayo, Mayo, F12 F6C5, Ireland
This position offers an opportunity to work in a feminist community development project that supports women’s equality and women’s well-being.
Employed by the WCI Board of Directors, the Development Worker is responsible for the engagement in community development work within WCI Claremorris and to facilitate and support development, well-being, training, and networking of women in the local area.
The successful candidate will have:
• A minimum of 2 years’ experience community development working within the community sector.
• Excellent communication skills.
• Excellent facilitation skills.
• An understanding of grassroots feminism.
• The ability to outreach and engage with women in the local area.
• The ability to identify the relevant training, supports and needs of women in the area.
• The ability to assist with the planning and to facilitate the delivery of relevant programmes within WCI Claremorris.
• The ability to network with other community organisations to support women’s participation.
• The ability to work as part of a team.
