At Women's Collective Ireland, we recognise that today's struggles for equality and justice are part of a much longer tradition of women organising, advocating and leading change. Women's history is an essential part of our shared heritage and deserves to be recognised, celebrated and preserved.

Every year, Women’s Collective Ireland projects celebrate International Women’s Day on 8th of March, recognising women’s achievements and promoting equality. This collection of posters showcases how WCI communities have celebrated, campaigned, educated and inspired action over the years, creating a unique visual record of women’s collective voices across Ireland.
Every year, Women’s Collective Ireland projects across the country mark International Women’s Day on 8th March by organising events that celebrate women’s achievements and promote equality. International Women’s Day is recognised worldwide as an opportunity to honour women’s political, economic, social and cultural contributions, while also recognising the continuing struggle for equality, justice and human rights. It reminds us of the importance of strengthening women’s rights, ensuring equal access to justice, and accelerating progress towards gender equality.
As part of this webpage, we are delighted to showcase a collection of International Women’s Day posters created by Women’s Collective Ireland projects over the years. Together, these posters tell the story of how WCI communities have celebrated, campaigned, educated and inspired action on issues affecting women. They provide a unique visual record of International Women’s Day within WCI and reflect the creativity, commitment and collective voice of women across Ireland.
