Women's Collective Ireland are recruiting for the following position:

National Communications Officer, Part-Time, 28 hours per week (over 4 days), based in WCI’s Head Office located in Weaver Court, Block 1, Unit 12, Neilstown Road, Clondalkin, Dublin, D22 PY63.


This position offers an opportunity to work as part WCI in a feminist national community development organisation that supports women’s equality and empowerment both nationally and locally. Employed by the WCI Board of Directors, the Communications Officer will be instrumental in raising the profile of WCI. 


The ideal candidate will be able to develop and deliver communications strategies, identifying ways to raise the profile and work of WCI. If you are someone who has experience in crafting compelling digital content through social media platforms, and the ability to co-curate an organisations online presence through website copyrighting, then this could be the job for you!


The successful candidate will have:

  • A third level qualification in communications, marketing, journalism and or relevant transferable qualification.

  • A minimum of 2 years’ experience in communications practice is desirable.

  • Excellent writing and research skills, with a proven ability to write and edit highly engaging copy, across communication platforms, including experience of creating digital content.

  • Knowledge of the national media landscape including demonstratable experience in dealing with the media and managing media queries in an effective manner.

  • Experience of Microsoft 365 Package and Apps with a knowledge of communications across all media channels.

  • Ability to work on own initiative and to work as part of a team, using collaborative approaches.

The salary for the post is €37,0000 (pro rata) on starting point of WCI Officer salary scale.
